Q: How do you spend your free time?
I read. I like reading about different topics, ranging from history, culture, and politics to fashion and even celebrity gossips. I never settle for one single thing but like to diversify my knowledge in many fields in order to have a better view of the world and challenge my mind with unconventional opinions.
I write. I’m currently running two WordPress blogs. One is my personal blog in which I share my thoughts on various events of my life or just simply, rant. The other is for my newly-born non-profit project called BODY POSITIVITY VIETNAM aiming at bringing the concept of body positivity and the whole movement to Vietnamese people, hoping people would no longer get caught in the chase of the unrealistic “beauty standard”, but be positive about their body appearance as well as others’, and focus more on health and life enjoyment.
I travel. Traveling or just simply wandering around the place I live enables me to come to terms with myself and at the same time discover another interesting side of the place, the community where I grew up. Moreover, this is also a great source of inspiration for my writing hobby.
I pet. There are days where I don’t feel like doing anything. So instead of lying on the bed and stare at the ceiling, I often surround myself with my pets: 2 dogs and a cat, and pet them, play around with them. They are always my source of happiness and my energy charger.
Those are the activities that I find consume a great deal of my free time. Besides, I also have other hobbies such as listening to live music, going on motorbike trips, cooking, and so on.
